Prior to using this moisturizer, I shaved, had a face massage and facial cleanse using the Juice Beauty Cleansing Gel. (See my review on that.)
Once applied, the very first thing I noticed was a mild stinging sensation around the areas of my face where I had shaved. The second thing I then noticed was that my face had just the slightest bit of a tingling sensation which lasted approximately 10 minutes. It wasn't bad, I just wasn't expecting that sensation. The final thing that I noticed, and probably the one thing I didn't like was that, in as much as it made my skin feel unbelievably smooth and soft, I had a slightly oily sheen on my skin. So being "Oil-Free" didn't help my particular type of skin but it may be nice for others.
So in summary, if you take away the slight stinging from the post-shave and the oil-like finish, it's a nice product. My Spa Tech used some on herself and had really good results. (Posted on 10/31/2011)
- Great for oily skin, maybe not moisturizing enough for normal skin Review by Jenn Staz
I have an acne-prone oily T-zone, but dry cheeks and neck. I found that this works well on my T-zone, but the other parts of my face felt a bit tight from dryness.
That said, it definitely works best in the morning for oily skin, but I don't recommend using it on dryer areas of your face if the "combination" part of your complexion is dry. Juice Beauty recommends you use this at night as well, but I would prefer something more moisturizing. (Posted on 10/28/2011)
