Lavera's founder, Thomas Hasse, started to work with natural ingredients to develop natural skin care alternatives for his own sensitive skin. Besides its mission to provide 100% natural skincare, Lavera's main focus is on tolerance for even the most sensitive skin.

In 2008, Lavera was ranked #1 in a study on safe cosmetics conducted by Oeko-Test Magazine, a very well-known influential consumer magazine in Germany.

Formulations are certified Natural by BDIH, contain all natural ingredients and Lavera was the first brand to launch a 100% mineral based Sunscreen.

Lavera does not test on animal or use animal derived ingredients in products.
