smells like fresh herb garden Review by Carol
Rating
Everyone in my family loves using this shampoo because it smells like walking through a fresh herb garden - equal parts rosemary & lavender. It's also been fine on my colored hair. Since I have very dry hair, I alternate it with the Hibiscus shampoo on other days. It's fun to use when you want your shower to smell like an herb garden (Posted on 6/2/2013)
This is a great shampoo and leaves hair smelling fantastic! Review by Shirley R.

This shampoo is fantastic. Not only did it leave my hair looking great but it also had the greatest lavender and rosemary aroma. It turned my shower into a spa like experience. My hair was a lot shinier and I even got a couple of compliments. I definitely will buy this again. (Posted on 12/30/2011)
Quality Shampoo for the Right Hair Types Review by Danya

As the name suggests, this shampoo has an herbal scent, but it is a light and pleasant one. The look and feel of the product is interesting; it has the color and appearance of thin maple syrup. This may be due to the types of essential oils it contains. The directions instruct you to "shake well" before using, but don't let that scare you off! It has a medium consistency and foams lightly. This shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny, and manageable. I don't have color treated hair, so I can't speak to its performance in that regard. The label notes that it is "for normal hair" but I think it may also be good for dry hair if used with one of John Master's great moisturizing conditioners. Overall, this is a good quality shampoo, however, I don't plan to use again because my scalp has a tendency to be very oily making it a bit too rich for my hair. (Posted on 12/14/2011)
Amazing Shampoo! Review by Jaime

I have fine hair and it is colored. This shampoo leaves the right amount of body - never weighs it down - and smells great! Also, a lot of shampoos make my hair fall out. This one doesn't! (Posted on 12/7/2011)

This made my hair so beautiful! Non drying, but very refreshing & super clean. Beautiful, natural scent. I didn't need conditioner either! A wonderful everyday shampoo. (Posted on 11/5/2011)
As far as I'm concerned, this deserves more than 5 stars! Review by Stephanie

***UPDATE!! Went working out the next day & my hair was noticeably less oily & dirty than normal compared to when I've used my other shampoos. Amazing!! My hair still looked clean!! This one would get 10 stars from me out of 5! :D (Posted on 11/4/2011)

This also goes absolutely fantastic alongside the Lavender Avocado Conditioner. Mind you- I'm picky about shampoos but this one was great. I've quickly become a fan, so look no further. I'll be throwing out my sudsing/foaming detergent-like shampoos as soon as I can get my hands on a bottle of this shampoo. (Posted on 10/31/2011)
Lavender Rosemary Shampoo By john masters organics Review by Stephanie

Well deserved 5 stars to this product. Great scent of lavender & rosemary. At first I was surprised this shampoo didn't bubble up in my hair, and it felt a little odd, coming off os sulfate sudsing shampoos that I'm used to. But then I remembered that mild-sudsing shampoos, are actually better for your hair. I heard this said from professional hair stylists time & time again, although not many brands offer this. Personally, I like shampooing once to get rid of debris, & then repeating to get my hair cleaner & get the benefits of this shampoo. I have long hair down to my back, so I also use a little more shampoo than most people. I will definitely be buying a bigger size of this shampoo and recommend it to my friends, and convince people to just buy it even if its just for the scent, haha. Added bonus is it's great for colored hair as well. (Posted on 10/31/2011)
Good for color-hair too! Review by Jaime

I'm very picky about hair products, and this one I dare say is pretty perfect! Smells amazing, too. (Posted on 10/28/2011)
Nice non-drying formula, scent may be overpowering for some. Review by Jenn Staz

Having received a sample packet of this product, I was surprised to see that the formula was a syrup-y looking brown. Being an organic shampoo (which lacks the chemical foaming agent SLS), I was worried it wouldn't lather up like other organic hair care products, but that wasn't the case. The shampoo performed well and didn't leave my hair feeling dry after rinsing.

The thing that makes this shampoo special is definitely the scent. The lavender and rosemary combines to make a strong floral and earthy aroma.

The scent was a bit of a turnoff for me; it is a bit overpowering. Quite honestly, I wasn't impressed with the shampoo otherwise and couldn't see myself buying a full-sized container strictly because of the smell. However, if you do love lavender and rosemary, this shampoo will work for you, especially if you have dry or color-treated hair. (Posted on 10/28/2011)
