Good colour but not for my skin type (dry, sensitive) Review by Dylan

I originally was unsure if this powder was for me. Because I'm very fair, a lot of the time, even the palest shade is too dark (this happens more with powder than foundation, strangely), so I was pretty sure this balancing teint powder that has three shades would be triple as bad. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did the palest part of the compact blend in to the colour of my skin extremely well, but I could use the middle pink part as a highlighter to keep my face from looking flat. I even use the brown for light contouring. It works amazingly ingeniously, and I have a feeling it will work for darker skinned people as well, since you can just dab the puff in each of the colours to mix them.

As much as I am impressed with the colouring, it made my face sting a little. I should preface by saying I have very dry, very sensitive skin and a bunch of things make my face tight and stingy. I probably shouldn't be putting talc on my face (which is the primary ingredient in this powder), but if your skin doesn't mind the talc or the witch hazel, it could work really well.

Another thing - because of my dry skin, I put mountains of oils and moisturizers on a little bit before putting on make up. I use RMS "un"cover-up, which is coconut oil based. I've found that this powder can sometimes sit weirdly on my skin, so I tried on my dry, non oiled up skin. It worked much better. So if you use a lighter moisturizer or actually use primer, which I don't, it will be a better fit for you than me.
All in all, I like the product, I think it could work really well for some people, but not so much for my dry, sensitive, overly lubed up skin. (Posted on 11/17/11)
