I decided to try the RESOLVE Soothing Aftershave Balm by ARCONA | MEN. I should share a few basic facts: I typically shave every other day and during that time, look and feel very well kept.Rating
First step was to check out the ingredients on the back. The number one standout on the very short list of ingredients, speaking clearly to it being a natural, organic product. Good. My eyes then quickly found two key items, Green Tea Extract and Aloe. Very good. OK, it's go-time. I pumped two squirts of the RESOLVE liquid into my hand. I was greeted with a green solution. Being the picky sort, I instinctively check to see what, if any, fragrance came from this solution. The best way to describe the scent is if you stood in the middle of thick woods after a heavy rain. That earthy scent is very similar. There will be a question for some as to whether you like it or not. It's a personal thing. I didn't mind it though it does stand up a bit to my cologne for the first few hours before fading away.
Here was the true test, and I decided to push the limits a bit. I went old school...I used a straight edged razor. Yes, the closest shave you can get with a drawback of really irritating your skin if you tend to suffer from such a malady. Shave over (successfully without slitting my throat) and after a simple rinse with water, I dried and applied the RESOLVE solution. I did this for three days in succession. The verdict is, RESOLVE served itself well. My skin was baby-bottom smooth with zero irritation and very soft. The moisturizing component seemed to maintain some order for the better part of the day, yet it wasn't oily. That was the key benefit to me since I also suffer from naturally oily skin. I have to say, overall, very good product. If only they could tweak the scent so that it comes in a choice of several fragrances. A clear 8.5 out of 10 for me. Would I buy it again when this bottle is finished? Absolutely.
